The Wilson - Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum
Situated in the heart of Cheltenham city centre, The Wilson - Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum is home to a wide range of museum artefacts and artwork from around the world. You can learn about objects from 3,000 years ago, see a snow suit from a 1901 expedition to the Antarctic, browse life collections and artwork from the medieval period to the 17th Century, or peruse paintings and sculptures dating as far back as the Renaissance. You can pick up a souvenir at The Wilson Shop, of grab a bite to eat at The Wilson Café.
The Wilson is open daily 9.30am-5.15pm and admission is free. The art gallery and museum is a ten-minute drive from our Cheltenham Hotel.
Cheltenham Town Hall
An iconic part of Cheltenham’s heritage, Cheltenham Town Hall is a Grade II listed building that provides an exquisite example of classical, or Baroque style architecture with an elegantly designed interior. Today the hall is a venue for a range of events from concerts and banquets to exhibitions, festivals and conferences. Pittville Pump Room
Open to the public Wednesdays to Sundays 10am -4pm, the Pittville Pump Room is an interesting part of Cheltenham’s history as a spa town. The Spa Well is a ‘must-see’ and the main attraction of the pump room. The original marble and scagliola pump of the well have been restored, allowing the unique spa waters to flow once again for visitors to sample. The architecture is an impressive regency structure and a popular venue for events – take a look at upcoming shows or exhibitions to plan a visit, if you do want to look around, call ahead to check that the Pump Room is not closed for a private event.

Montpellier Gardens
Situated amongst Cheltenham’s regency ‘landscape’ and surrounded by many Grade I listed buildings, Montpellier Gardens offers an urban oasis for visitors and locals alike. There’s a small arboretum in the north-western corner of the park, as well as tennis courts, skate park, Garden Café, and a band stand that occasionally holds concerts in summer.

Highgrove Gardens
Since his first visit to the gardens, The Prince of Wales has devoted much energy to transforming Highgrove Gardens. Highgrove gardens have been developed to be as self-sufficient as possible with all green waste recycled for use in the gardens in accordance to his majesty’s wishes. Enjoy an individual or group garden tour or really spoil yourself with a champagne tea tour where you will enjoy a small group tour of the gardens lasting two hours and lead by one of the Prince’s expert garden guides. Your tour will end in the Orchard Restaurant where you will be treated to afternoon tea and a glass of Highgrove champagne while the resident pianist plays in the background.

Gloucester Cathedral
Discover nearly 1,000 years of history when you visit the beautiful Gloucester Cathedral. This stunning building also serves as an extraordinary venue for concerts, art installations as well as a place for private prayer and reflection. Harry Potter fans will recognise Cathedral as it made an appearance in the Harry Potter films where it featured as the interior of Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardy! The cathedral is open 365 days a year and entry is free.
