Dublin's o2 Arena, now the 3Arena, opened in December of 2008. A sort of smaller cousin to London's arena of the same name, the 02 Dublin has played host to many huge names in music today, from Kings of Leon to Crosby, Stills & Nash to DJ Tiesto and U2. The lineup for the month of September at the 3Arena/02 Dublin is as stellar as they come. The bands appearing will satisfy almost anyone's taste in music.
September 25- Andre Rieu & the Johan Strauss Orchestra: Andre Rieu is the highest-charting classical instrumentalist of all time. He has helped to revive the Waltz and brings a superstar flare to the stage that is unseen in the classical music world. His Dublin show should rock the month of September. Tickets are €45 to €95 and doors for the concert open at 6:30 p.m.
September 29- Santana: Acclaimed and respected guitarist Santana will kick off his European tour at the 02 Dublin in September. Best remembered for his groundbreaking 60s recordings and his breakaway album Supernatural, this show is sure to be memorable. Tickets cost between €60.55 and €71.45 depending on your seats and the concert opens at 6:30 p.m.
September 30- Bill Bailey: Renowned English comedian and musician will play two shows at the o2 Dublin (3Arena) spanning September and October. His 02 Dublin show is going to be the scene of a live DVD being filmed as well. Tickets for the comedian/bard cost €38 and doors for his show will open at 6:30 p.m.
