Plymouth Hoe and Sound offer great views of Plymouth’s beautiful landscape and waterfront, as well as a range of things to do and see.
Smeaton’s Tower is an iconic Plymouth landmark and a fantastic bit of heritage as this lighthouse, built on the Eddystone reef in 1759, was relocated brick by brick (or rather stone by stone) to its current location on the Hoe. The Tower affords stunning views of Plymouth sound and the city centre from the lantern room, making it a Plymouth must-see.
Also located on the Hoe is the Tinside Lido. This outdoor salt water pool sits on the waterfront offering fantastic views of Plymouth sound and includes sundeck, fountains and inflatable fun sessions for kids.

Located in the heart of Plymouth city centre, The Berkeley Bar & Grill offers delicious cocktails and a fully stocked bar, as well as a beautiful outside terrace for summer days! Inside, the bar has a very modern décor with comfortable booths, ideal for grabbing a bite to eat from their mouth-watering menu.
Chandlers Bar &Bistro offers a great waterfront location at Queen Annes Battery Marina. Enjoy views of Plymouth Sound, Drake’s Island and the Cornish coastline as you enjoy a meal on the heated terrace! Famous for their fine food, Chandlers has a delicious and incredibly varied menu ready for you to explore.
Plymouth is a prime destination for boat trips, whether you want to get stuck in with some fishing or enjoy a cruise to one of the many locations available from this coastline. Located a little outside Plymouth, the Burrator Reservoir is a beautiful natural sight and a south of England must see. The stunning landscape is popular with walkers and cyclists and for good reason with the sharp contrast of woodlands and open moors, and of course the reservoir. For those visiting with families, there are easy flat walks around the water, for those more adventurous, there is plenty of footpaths and trails leading to Dartmoor.
