January 17 A night of laughs with comedian OmidDjalili. The award-winning performer brings his stand-up routine to Milton Keynes for one night. Audience members must be 16 years of age or older to attend the show.
January 18 The halls will ring with the sounds of happy feet. Dance Xchange is the culmination of partnerships between local children 5 to 17 years of age and professional choreographers. Musical numbers range from elaborate Bollywood numbers to smooth street jazz.
January 19 Sian Edwards conducts the Music of Emotion. Pieces include the Leonore Overture number (no) 3, Opus (Op) 72 by Beethoven and Symphony no 5, E flat major by Sibelius. Violinist Anna LiisaBezrodny is a featured soloist.
January 20 to 22 Michael Flatley brings his Lord of the Dance to Milton Keynes Theatre. Based in Irish mythology, the two-hour performance plots good against evil. The show has enchanted audiences for 11 years. Here is a little taster:
January 29 Fireman Sam: Pontypandy Rocks! returns with a unique flavour of family friendly entertainment. Fire-fighter Sam works hard to save a music festival so the secret special guest can take the stage on time.
January 30 Over the Rainbow celebrates the life of American musician Eva Cassidy through song. The show features highly regarded recreations of songs written by Ms. Cassidy. Artists including Sting and Nora Jones have marvelled at the simplistic beauty of Over the Rainbow.
Milton Keynes Theatre is a highly accessible venue. Patrons with limited mobility are welcome to use ramps, lifts and lower level countertops throughout the building. Infrared hearing devices specially designed to accompany the internal sound system assist guests with auditory difficulties.
