Summer Holidays in Liverpool

Liverpool Outdoor Activities

Curious about tours:

Liverpool has plenty of History, culture and heritage to explore, so why not take the kids on a “Curious about…” tour. The tours offer clues with the answers discoverable on your walk offering more information about the subject through stories and facts.

Liverpool 1: This tour offers two ‘walks’, the first covering Museums, Music and Culture and the second walk covering the river Port and Docks. The walks aren’t too long for little legs, the first covering 1.5 miles and the second a shouter 1.1 miles.

Liverpool 2: If the Liverpool 1 walks haven’t really caught your fancy, there is an alternative Liverpool 2 tour. Walk one covers two cathedrals and covers 1.25 miles of Liverpool. The Second Walk offers Cathedral circular covering 0.75 miles- both of these walks do branch out from Cathedrals.

Adventure Dock

Adventure Dock is Liverpool’s newest and bounciest family attraction. The aqua park is a giant inflatable obstacle course on the water in Dukes Dock, which is just a 3 minute walk from Leonardo Hotel Liverpool. Featuring inflatable free-fall slides, trampolines, rafts and barriers; you can bounce, splash and slide non-stop, whilst racing your family and friends around the fun-filled course.

Travel involves catching an hourly River Explorer Cruise from Pier head (16 minute walk from Leonardo Hotels) to Seacombe Ferry Terminal. However, the journey is a short 30 minute ride, or you can catch the direct service during peak times which takes only 10 minutes.

There are also a range of activities along the River Explorer route so you can make a whole day of activity stop offs and river cruising - check out the timetable, Cruise route and activities. Prices vary depending on which activity stop offs you wish to do- offering cheaper combined attraction tickets.
