The
Camden Fringe festival is a celebration of performers and performances over a four week period from the 2nd to the 29th of August. The festival is produced by Zena Barrie and Michelle Flower in and around their venue, Etcetera Theatre. Since 2006, the Camden Fringe festival has held hundreds of different performances at multiple locations within the Camden region in London.
The 2010 edition of the Camden Fringe festival is expected to be the best one yet with over 207 shows to be held at
Camden People’s Theatre, Etcetera Theatre, Roundhouse Studio Theatre, Shaw Theatre, Camden Head, The Gatehouse and several other venues. The festival will host a variety of classic and modern plays, standup comedy acts and live bands. It all kicks off on August 2nd with 13 different performances at three different venues. From August 3rd onward, the performance schedule rises to 15 or more per day and you’ll be able to catch a new act nearly every day at one of the various locations.
Tickets to each show at the Camden Fringe are 7.50 GBP, purchasable at the venue door or ahead of time online. All of the venues for the Camden Fringe festival have programs with information on all of the shows. You’ll be able to quickly pick out the performances that interest you, and with the extensive list of performances, there’s bound to be a comedy, drama, love, crime, music, fantasy or reality show to match your taste.
